mellow waves translates the constant movement of life - emotionally and physically - into a soft yet structured textile object. The vertical lines get broken up by the waves and therefore follow their own rhythm.
The work is handwoven and is bounded by two wires, weaved into the fabric at the beginning and end. The wires integrate themselves into the weave seamlessly. They provide structure and define the organic shapes of the waves.
We are all trying to navigate the journey of our lives. What feels like a constant up and down appears like a mellow, steady movement when observed from afar.
