„bewölkt" translates the reoccurring experience of premenstrual depression into a textile landscape while emphasizing the beauty and fragility of the materials.

During the process of stitching and tying, each french knot takes on their own shape with their individual tensions and directions.

On the backside the knots are linked together and form lines, and creates two separate pictures, intertwined by the threads.

The wool threads, appear as waves, modulated by their material properties. Restricted by the grid of perforated holes in the handmade paper. Similar to how the body is ruled by its hormones.

This personal exploration combines the meditative handmade craft, and the touching, unpredictable impact of the finished work.
