The kitchen towel is an everyday object — familiar, almost invisible. It dries, wipes, protects, and accompanies the small rituals of daily life. It bears witness to recurring actions, to the traces left behind, and to the moments that unfold between cooking, eating, and gathering together. As a textile object, it exists at the intersection of function, memory, and sensory experience.
The 3+2 project exists somewhere between functionality and free, expressive textile art. The kitchen towel serves as the starting point for an artistic exploration of material, structure, and utility. By consciously choosing the slow, artisanal process of hand-weaving, the act of creation itself takes center stage. Every thread, every intersection of warp and weft, and every variation in density, rhythm, or color becomes a deliberate design choice. The fabric emerges as a composition of repetition and deviation, of order and chance.
